Since 1960, JRIA has translated over 70 titles of ICRP Publications into Japanese under a kind permission from ICRP.
This translation has started as a voluntarily effort of a few scientists,to obtain and share rapidly evolving information on radiation safety and radiological protection.
As time goes by, this translation work has grown into one of the important component of knowledge dissemination / education activities of JRIA.
In 1967, following an evolution of ICRP, a standing committee, the Committee for Japanese Translations of ICRP Publications (J-Tips) was established.
The Committee has been working in close collaboration with Japanese ICRP members, with so many RP specialists and scientists. They all share the recognition of the importance to provide an easy access for Japanese to ICRP publications.
With this spirit, the Committee now continues to release a series of Japanese translations. We believe the Japanese versions contribute to dissemination of the spirit of ICRP. Our hope is to support the radiological protection in Japan with this translation.
