Kaya Memorial Takizawa Laboratory

Kaya Memorial Takizawa Laboratory is the facility where radioisotope waste generated by medical institutions from all over Japan is treated. The waste is treated safely and efficiently and the treated radioisotope waste is then packed in special containers and managed under controlled conditions.

In order to ensure environmental safety, an environmental radiation-monitoring system and thermoluminescence dosimeters are installed to monitor environmental radiation.
